Modi tops most viewed list on Facebook in India, ranks 9th in the world

Facebook has named Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the most viewed topic in India this year. While Mr. Modi topped the charts at home, he is placed at No. 9 globally. In the world rankings, US President Barack Obama tops the list.
Mr. Modi is the only non Bollywood personality to be on the top 10 of most followed Indians on Twitter. Mr. Modi is one of the most accessible celebrities on social media. In addition to his Facebook and Twitter accounts, he has a Youtube channel, and personal and official webpages.
On the Indian most viewed topic list, most of the topics are about events. There are only 4 people on the list, including Mr. Modi. The others are actors Deepika Padukone and Salman Khan, and former President APJ Abdul Kalam. Dr. Kalam is the No.1 topic, followed by Bahubali and then the Nepal Earthquake. Another list was marked places. Under this India Gate holds the first place, followed by Taj Mahal. The other three in the top five are Marine Drive in Mumbai, Nandi Hills in Bengaluru and Gateway of India in Mumbai.
