Sabarimala updates

Mandala pooja at the famous Sabarimala temple is currently on the go. On 27th of December, the idol of lord Iyyapa will be decorated with jewels and pooja are to be performed.
With just ten days left for the Mandala pooja, devotees have started thronging in. The area where the temple lies is presently receiving heavy rain showers. Regardless of rain, devotees stand in long queues to get blessings from Swami Iyyappa! Kalaabishegam took place at the Sabarimala yesterday and this too saw heavy crowd of devotees.
Yesterday, as it was the first day of Tamil month Margazhi, the temple was open at 3 am and special Pooja took place at the shrine. Around 12 in the noon, 12 Kalasa poojai took place for Swami Iyyappa.
On coming 26th, the jewelry box will be brought to the temple. Hence, works are on the go to reform roads. Forest department officials are involved in these works in full swing.
