Tamilar Munnetra Padai protest against actress Amy Jackson

British model and actress Amy Jackson was introduced by A L Vijay in the film Madrasapattinam. She won laurels for her acting in this film. After this she continued to act in Tamil, Hindi and Telugu films including Ekk Deewana Tha, Thaandavam, Yevadu, I, Singh Is Bliing and Thanga Magan. She is currently acting in Gethu, Theri and Rajini starrer 2.0.
At this juncture, Amy Jackson got in to a problem because of her comments on Jallikattu. Ms. Jackson (@iamAmyJackson) had tweeted that actors and cricketers had signed Peta India`s plea against bullfights and also appealed to others to support it.
The founder of Tamilar Munnetra Padai K. Veeralakshmi tried to take a protest march to the Nadigar Sangam office in T. Nagar. The protest march was against actor Amy Jackson`s views on Jallikattu. The protestors were stopped at Habibullah Road by police and were let off after a few hours.
