Ahead of Assembly elections, transfer of officials soon

Chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni has mentioned that he has sent a letter to principal secretary of Tamil Nadu requesting him to transfer officials who have been holding the same posts for three of more than three years.
Chief electoral officer Rajesh Lakhoni mentioned that works connected with forthcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections is going on in full gear. The final voters list will be released on 20th January.
After this list is released, opportunity will be given to include the names that are not in the list. Special camps will be held for this purpose.
The EC has directed that officials who are connected with the conduct of elections in the state do not serve in their home districts or places where they have served for long and decided that no officer connected directly with elections should be allowed to continue in the present district or posting
