GST Tax exemption for petrol & petroleum products for some period

The Chief Economic Advise (consultant) Mr. Arvind Sunramaniam has informed that petrol and petroleum products will be exempted from the Goods & Services Tax for some time.
He explained that as per constitutional Rules, petrol & petroleum products come under the GST Tax bracket and both the state & central governments will continue to levy taxes.
Mr. Arvind Subramaniam also informed that Central Finance Minister Mr. Arun Jaitley is confident the GST bill will get passed in the parliament.
