New Year Day special pooja at Vadapalani Murugan temple

On the occasion of New Year`s Day, there will be special prayers at Vadapalani Murugan Temple on Friday. Special barricades have been put up for devotees to worship the Lord Murugan. There will be special abhishekam and decorations to the main idol. Devotees can worship from 4 AM to 11 PM. The Lord will be adorned with silver armour from 4 AM to 12 Noon and from 1 PM to 4 PM the Lord will be adorned with gold armour. From 5 PM to 11 AM the Lord will be insulated with sandal paste and flowers.
Chennai Police is taking care of the security arrangements while metro water will provide drinking water. Special transport has also been arranged.
New Year celebrations at Nanganallur Anjaneya Temple
On the New Year day, there will also special darshan for the devotees at Nanganallur Anjaneya Temple. The temple will be opened at 4 AM. There will special abhishekam and dressing for Anjaneya. The temple will be open till 10 PM.
