It has been four years since a change in syllabus was made in four colleges including Guindy Engineering College present within Anna University campus, AC technical engineering college, MIT college, Chrompet and College of Architecture.
Complying with the technical advancements, and in-line with the syllabus followed in foreign universities, Anna University has decided to make changes in the syllabus here too. The changes are being devised at present.
The new syllabus will be introduced upon receiving approval from the education committee. The education committee meet took place at the Anna university yesterday and the meet was headed by professor M Rajaram. The committee approved the new changes in syllabus.
As per this, there will be changes in syllabus of 3rd to 8th semesters in the following academic year for B.Arch and B.E.
There are many twelfth students who are at the verge of appearing in board exams and will show interest towards joining in Engineering studies in August this year. In all the above mentioned four colleges, changes are to be brought in the syllabus in all semesters.
Furthermore, a grade system is being followed in colleges and universities. There will be changes in this system too. The grades will be determined depending on the overall mark scored by all students in the semester examinations. The grade system will change from one class to the other.
This change will be introduced only in these four colleges, to start with. It will be introduced in the present academic year (2015-16).
