CMRL Project between Washermanpet & Wimco Nagar to commence next month

Chennai Metro Rail officials have informed that the work will commence for metro rail between Washermanpet & Wimco Nagar.
The project activites are to be undertaken at a cost of Rs. 3370 Crores between Washermanpet & Thiruvotriyur.
There will be 8 stations in this route. 2 stations will be located underground and others would be at elevated corridor.
The activities for acquisition of lands required for this project will commence shortly.
Construction activities will start after this on contract basis.

1. Name yet to be decided (lcated underground)
2. Korukkupettai (underground)
3. Tondiarpet
4. Tollgate (Sungachavadi)
5. Thangal
6. Gowri Ashramam
7. Thiruvotriyur
8. Wimco Nagar
