Bajaj V to be on sale from March 2016

Bajaj V is one of the more looked forward to two wheeler brands in the country. It is made out of the metal of INS Vikrant, India`s first aircraft carrier. In an event in New Delhi, the Bajaj V was unveiled. The BajajV15 will go on sale in March 2016. It is believed to be priced somewhere between Rs. 60000 and Rs. 70000. 

Says Bajaj Auto, For decades, she (INS Vikrant) remained invincible bravely guarding our seas. However in 2014, this iconic war hero was sent to the scrapyard. But we, at Bajaj, were determined not to let history fade away into oblivion. So we took INS Vikrant`s metal, melted it and gave it a new face - Bajaj V.

The motorcycle has been placed in the premium executive segment, which makes it a premium product that is affordable. It is positioned above the Discover 150. Its competition is the Suzuki Gixxer and the Yamaha R15. 

The Bajaj V15 has an INS Vikrant badge and 5 twin spoke alloys. It has lean and bold lines, a premium texture material, removable rear cowl, LED tail-lamp, 5 double spoke alloys, bold graphics, premium instrument panel with colour changing LEDs, pumped up fuel tank and ergonomic handlebars for wide open chest feeling. The bike will be available in Ebony Black and Pearl White. 

The Bajaj V has a 149.5 CC, single cylinder, 4 stroke, SOHC 2 valve, air-cooled, DTS-i engine. Its maximum power output is 12bhp at 7,500rpm and 13Nm at 5,500rpm.
