Kamal Haasan sings for Gautham Karthiks film

Muthuramalingam is a film which has Gautham Karthik in the lead role. Rajadurai is directing the film. Since they wanted a fearless voice for Gautham Karthik intro song, Ilayaraja who is composing music for the film has suggested Kamal Haasan`s name. Ilayaraja himself called Kamal sir and requested him to record this song. The song, Therku Desa Singamada, was recorded a week ago.
The maestro has used live instruments for the song and had brought in around 300 folk musicians from down south for the recording. Incidentally, Ilaiyaraaja is teaming up with lyricist and writer Panchu Arunachalam, who introduced the maestro in Annakili, after 21 years.
