Central government bans sales of Air-conditioners with 1-star quality rating

The central government has banned the sales of air-conditioners with 1-star quality rating.
In a recent circular released the central government`s department of Skill & Efficiency, it is mentioned that sales of new type of air-conditioners which save electrical energy should be prioritised.
Suggestions have also been given to the methods of saving electrical energy which should be explained in the sales promotion activities.
Air-conditioners with 1-star quality ranking consume more electrical energy and also cause pollution to the environment.
