BuzzFeed has now launched a stand alone app. A favourite among procrastinators at work and out of the office, BuzzFeed videos were, until now, found on FaceBook, on YouTube or the main website.
The New York based media company released its stand alone video app on Tuesday. The app is designed to make watching its videos easier by housing them all in one place. The mobile friendly app emphasises the importance of video, a media that gets higher advertising rates and has growing audiences around the world who own a mobile device. Surveys have shown that 70 percent of BuzzFeeds videos have been watched on a smartphone or a tablet.
