Mosquito Control activities intensified in Chennai Metro City

Chennai City Mayor Saidai Duraiswamy has informed that mosquito prevention activities in the city will now be further intensified.
The Mayor announced in the City Corporation Council meeting that in order to control the mosquito proliferation in the city, 15 catamarans are being procured by the corporation to be used for removal of the growth of ‘Lotus Akasha’ (‘Aagaya Thaamarai’ in Tamil) in all the canals, ponds, and rivers.
20 medical vehicles will be procured by the corporation fully equipped with all medical treatment faculties.
Special Treatment Services will be shortly opened in all Corporation Hospitals.
In order to enhance the taste of the Amma Canteen Food items, special training will be given to the working women in the Amma Canteen centre in the hospital.
