On the occasion of Panguni Peruvizha of the Mylapore Kapaleeshwarar Temple, the traffic police have made the following traffic diversions.
Panguni Peruvizha of the Mylapore Kapaleeshwarar Temple is being held from Monday to 23rd of this month. In order to regulate the traffic congestions, the traffic diversions are being made.
No vehicles will be allowed here
- Kutchery Road towards Mathalanarayanan Street
- East Chitrakulam Street towards North Chitrakulam Street
- Nadu street and Sundareswarar Street towards East Mada Street
- R K Mutt Road towards South Mada Street
- St Mary`s Road towards R K Mutt Road Junction
- Dr Ranga Road towards Venkatesa Agraharam Road
- Luz Junction towards R K Mutt Road
During Car festival on March 20th traffic diversion will be effected from 7 am till the function is over and on March 21st during Arubathumoover Peruvizha the traffic diversion will be effected from 2 pm.
The vehicles (including MTC Buses) proceeding from Royapettah High Road intend to proceed towards Mandavelli and R K Mutt road will be diverted at Luz Junction to Luz Church Road, D`Silva Road, Bakthavatsalam Road, Dr Ranga Road, C P Ramasamy Road, St Mary`s Road to reach R K Mutt Road and Mandavelli Junction.
Vehicles (including MTC Buses) proceeding from Adyar side and intend to proceed to Luz Junction will be diverted at Mandavelli Junction to V K Iyer Road, Sringeri Mutt Road, Warren Road, Dr Ranga Road, East Abhiramapuram Ist Main Road, Luz Avenue, Nageswara Rao park, Luz Church Road, Karpagambal Nagar, Vivekanda College, P S Sivasamy Salai, Royapettah High Road to reach the Luz Junction.
The MTC buses, which are being operated from Mylapore tank terminus temporarily, will be operated near Amirtanjan Company on Luz Church Road on all festival days
