Educational loan defaulters cannot be permitted to write bank examinations

The banking department has announced that educational loan defaulters cannot be permitted to write bank examinations. This has shocked many students.
Vacancies in the State bank of India are to be filled soon. The bank has announced that interested candidates can apply online till 25th of this month. It has been mentioned in the eligibility criteria that educational loan defaulters are not eligible for this examination.
Indian Student Association secretary Deepak Chandrakanth while speaking about this mentioned-Students are availing this educational loan with the intention of repaying the loan after they get the job. It is not understood that with what intention that banks has fixed this criteria.
Maheswaran who is the district secretary of Indian Bank has mentioned that State Bank of India announcement is not correct. Students who don`t repay the loan within one year will automatically come under CIBIL list. It cannot be accepted that they are not eligible for bank examinations. They can repay their loan only after they get the employment. If this opportunity is denied how will the students repay their loans? State Bank Of India should withdraw this eligibility criteria.
