Central government to recruit 2.2 lakh persons

The central government has decided to recruit 2.2 Lakh employees in a year`s time.
33.05 Lakh employees worked in the central government as on 1st March, 2015.
The central government is planning to increase this to 34.93 this year (2016) and to 35.23 Laks before March next year. 2017.
This includes the employees to be recruited for Railways.1326437 employees are working currently in Indian Railways. No recruitments were made in the last 3 years.
It is doubtful whether appointments will be made in the defence force.
The strength of persons employed in the Income Tax & Customs Departments will be raised to 70000.
The strength of the army forces will be increased by 47000. The strength of employees working in the Home Ministry will be increased by 6000.
Currently, 301 more employees will be recruited in the central ministry.
The strength of this department last year stood at 900, By March 2017, this will be increased to 1201.
Over the last 2 years, 2200 employees were recruited in the Ministry of Technology.
1800 employees will be recruited for the ministry of central government employees welfare.
6000 will be recruited in the Ministry of Urban Development. 4300 will be recruited in the Ministry of coal. 1000 will be recruited in the Ministry of Space research.
