Tamil Nadu government announces 6 per cent DA hike for staffs

Tamil Nadu State government on Wednesday announced a six per cent hike in dearness allowance to its employees with effect from January 1 this year. The revised DA will apply to employees in local administration, teaching and non-teaching staffs in all government aided educational institutions, village assistants, anganwadi workers and others.
The arrears for the months of January, February and March would be disbursed in cash.
The hike is applicable to pensioners and family pensioners.
