Hoping to guide students through the application process, the US consulate in the city demonstrated a typical visa interview in keeping with the admission season where several students are seeking admissions into the US universities.

Consular chief Charles E Luoma-Overstreet said about 1,500 interviews are being conducted per day, and emphasised strongly on applicants being careful about producing authentic documents and not to be strayed by visa agents who may try to lure them with shortcuts. He also advised students to be genuine about their purpose of visit.
