Burning cars: the phenomenon continues in Chennai

The incident of a car burning while moving along the Kasi Theatre over-bridge is a sensation.

The fire-fighting squad reached the place after receipt of information and the fire was extinguished.

Unprecedented scorching heat has been literally burning Chennai city and Tamil Nadu. Chennai has recorded 105 degrees with blowing hot air.

The scorching heat has resulted in burning cars while moving.A car moving in Kathipara flyover burned yesterday (Friday, 22nd April).

Again, a car moving on the Kasi Theatre over-bridge burned today (Saturday, 23rd April). It was 1.00 PM in the afternoon session when smoke was out from the car`s engine. Then, the engine caught fire and burnt. The driver took the vehicle to a safe corner and got out without any harm to others on the road.

As water was poured over the burning engine and fire was extinguishd rather quickly, major damage was averted.
