The state government of Andhra has come forward to serve the devotees visiting the Tirupathi temple just as is being done by the state governments offering assistance for the Muslims who undertake the Haj pilgrimage.
With 1000 devotees per district in the 13 districts of Andhra, the scheme would offer a trip to Tirupathi for 13000 devotees. This scheme has been named Divya Darshan Scheme.
The state minister for endowments, Manikkalarao informed this news.
Whether the expenses for this scheme would be borne by TTD (Tiumalai Tirupathi Devasthanam) or by the state government is yet to be decided. Once this decision is made, the scheme would be implemented.
