MBBS applications which was supposed to be issued today has been postponed

At a time when engineering college applications are being issued from last 15th, it was mentioned that medical college applications will be issued from 9th today. Since the plus 2 results have been delayed in Tamil Nadu, Dr R Vimala Medical Education director has announced that a new date will be announced for the distribution of medical applications. Moreover the Tamil Nadu Government has filed petition in the supreme courts on NEET decisions. She has mentioned that the forms will be issued after the Supreme Court decision.
 
There are 20 medical government medical colleges in Tamil Nadu. There are 2665 MBBS seats, Out of this 398 seats (15 percent) has been allotted for All India allotment. The balance 2257 seats (85 percent) will be allotted to government seats. There are 100 BDS seats Tamil Nadu Government Dental Colleges. Out of this 15 seats are allotted to All India allotment. The balance 85 seats will be allotted to government colleges.
 
Apart from this there are 100 MBBS  seats in Chennai K K Nagar ESI medical college. Out pf this 65 seats are allotted to government seats. There are 17 private dental colleges. There are 1610 BDS seats. 970 seats have been allotted to government dental colleges. At this juncture, applications forms for MBBS and BDS for the academic year 2016-17 were supposed to 9th May.
 
Medical education department director Dr R Vimala has mentioned. Thinking that Plus 2 results will be released on first week of May we thought of distributing the application forms from 9th May for MBBS and BDS seats. Now it has been announced that the plus 2 results will be announced on 17th May. The fresh date will be announced.
