The Election Commission has released some important statistics with only 3 days to go before the Legislative Assembly Elections scheduled in Tamil Nadu.
The number of voters, the contestants, and the contesting parties are some of the details.
- Total voters (men) in Tamil Nadu: 28863013.
- Total voters (women): 29333954.
- Transgenders 4720.
- Voters serving in the army, armed forces, and employed in the central government in other states: 58114.
- Total: 58259801.
- Total number of contestants: 3776
- Women contestants – 320 (This is the highest ever).
The Constituency with maximum contestants: Dr. Radhakrishnan Nagar – 45.This is the constituency where the current Chief Minister Jayalalthaa contests.
The constituency with the minimum number of contestants – Arcot, Cuddalore, and Mayiladuthurai – 8.
