Second trial run conducted by CMRL

For the second time, the Metro Rail has conducted its trial run between Alandur and Airport on Sunday. Officials of CMRL have mentioned that regular rail service will begin during the month of July.
Metro Rail services had started its rail operations between Chennai Koyambedu and Alandur from June 2015. Now the works connected with metro rail from St Thomas Mount to Chennai Airport has been completed.
Trial run between this sectors took place on Saturday and Sunday, The trial run will take place till 24th May. Moreover the trial run was also conducted in the underground path between Alandur cement Road and Meenambakkam airport.
CMRL officials have mentioned that these trial runs were satisfactory and very soon the safety commissioners will be certifying.
