Ooty Flower show starting on 27th May

The preparations are going on in full swing for the flower show at Ooty to be organised from 27th May.
Ooty is an international popular tourism attraction. In order to attract the maximum tourists, the district administration organises Summer Festival every year on behalf of the department of horticulture.
Rose flower exhibition, the flower-show and fruit show are important features of the summer festival.
The Ooty flower show is world famous. A great number of foreign tourists visit Ooty to see this flower show. This year is the 120th anniversary of the annual event and the flower show is set to start from 27th May and will be open for 3 days.
As this is the first major even after the new government has been sworn in, the department of horticulture has planned to celebrate in a grand manner. So, the preparatory activities are in full swing.
One of the chief attractions will be the display of 194 varieties of flowers like oriental lily, Asiatic lily, Callanjeode, Inca marigold, French marigold, Flax, Petunia, Salvia, begonia, Sempa, Florence, Aster, Palsum, and Chrysantheum in 15000 flower-pots.
Even as the flowers are blooming, the park employees are engaged in organizing these flowerpots in an attractive manner for the public display.
In order to enetrtain the tourists, it has been organised to arrange 6000 flowerpots in different eye-catching display forms.
