According to Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2016 which came in to force from December 2015, Indian IT companies have to pay 4000 dollars (Rs 2, 68,000) for each H1B visa. This has been announced by American Federal Citizenship and Immigration services. It has been mentioned that the visa fess for H1B and L-1 have been increased. The H1B visa allows U.S. employers to recruit foreign professionals in specialty occupations while L-1 visas are available to employees of an international company with offices in both the U.S. and abroad.
Additional fees of 4,000 dollars for certain H1B and 4,500 dollars for L-1 petitioners have to be paid by cheque.
