Panic Button installed in trains by Central Railway

To ensure safer travel, Central Railway has introduced Panic Button in the ladies coach. The red push button which was installed on trial basis in ladies coach of Mumbai suburban trains has now been regularised in all suburban trains. The panic button, located below the luggage rack in the 12-coach train is now in service.
When pressed, it will give out a siren with flashing lights and send an alert to the motorman and the motor guard informing them about the compartment from which the button was hit. The motorman will inform the headquarters, which will then inform the station master about the threat situation
