All in one mobile app for tourist spots in TN

A mobile app consisting details of tourists spots across Tamil Nadu is being developed. This app will have tourist spot details in eight languages including Tamil, English and Hindi.
The state of Tamil Nadu is beautiful with couple of hill stations including Ooty, Kodaikanal, Yercaud, Yelagiri, and water falls including Coutrallam, Hogenakkal waterfalls, Thanjavur periya temple, Darasuram Airavateswarar temple, Gangai konda sozha puram, Madurai Meenakshi Amman temple, Srirangam Ranganathar, and Chidambaram Natarajar temples.
Hence, there are a number of visitors to the country not just from within India, but from abroad as well.
The Tamil Nadu Tourist Development Corporation, aiming to equip these lakhs of visitors with information about tourist destination, a mobile app is to be developed with the help of technical advancements. This will be compatible to Android, iPhone and Windows phones. The mobile app content will be available in eight languages including Tamil, English, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, and French.
Officials at the department of tourism stated that the website www.tamilnadutourism.org is at present functional so as to help tourists with information about tourist destinations. Information available here are readable in Tamil, English and French. Hence, tourists from neighboring states like Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra, etc find it tough to enjoy trip in Tamil Nadu. Hence we have decided to revamp the site.
Furthermore, tourist spot information will also be given through mobile apps. Preliminary works for the same are being done now. This will contain details like temples, hill stations, zoo, beaches, waterfalls, exhibitions, parks, etc present across the state. Complete details of all these will be available here. There will also be information about carnivals, and events taking place all over.
Address and details of hostels and hotels owned by private companies, tourists spots where people can enjoy yoga, Ayurveda, etc, and tourism package details will be included in the application.
Through this app, it will also be possible to pre-book hostels in Tamil Nadu. Tourists can also make use of this mobile app for their travel needs, as they can easily identify airport, train and road transportation routes through GPS.
On entering Around Me option within the app, all the key spots present around 25 km radius of the user will be made available. Users can also share on Facebook and Twitter about the spots they visit. Works to develop this app are done and the app will come to use in a few months.
