CCTV cameras at Railway stations soon

The managing director of southern railway announced that CCTV cameras will be installed at all railway stations and works to set up Tambaram railway junction are taking place and will get wrapped up by next month.
 
The MD in his press report given yesterday said that the southern railway has been celebrating Journey with railway, a program has been taking place since past one week. In 365 researches done during this period, 1072 railway officials were involved. And 3611 saplings were planted.
 
He said that the works to construct Tambaram rail junction will get over by next month. Bio toilet facility will be installed in all trains by the year 2019-20. So far, CCTV cameras are fixed in 136 railway stations at a cost of Rs 27 crore. In the remaining railway stations, CCTV cameras will be installed at Rs 66 crore. In the next 3 years, 750 unmanned railway stations will be closed. Works to construct track between Chennai and Kanyakumari will get over by end of this year.
 
Railway hospitals
 
At a cost of Rs 17 crore, railway hospitals are to be constructed. These works will get over in 2 years. There are plans to join hands with Chinese companies to set up high-speed trains between Chennai and Bengaluru. Many such schemes are to be brought soon, he added.
