Counselling for MBBS and BDS courses begins today

The directorate of medical education (DME) has started today the process of admission with the counselling for students belonging to special categories - sports quota, students of ex-servicemen and the physically challenged at Tamil Nadu Government Multi Super Specialty Hospital, Omandurar Government Estate, Chennai. General counselling will begin on June 21 and end on June 25.
26,017 applications has been received and only 25,814 were valid. Through counselling, seats will be filled up in the 20 government and two ESI medical colleges in the State. Besides, there are six self-financing private medical colleges. The total number of MBBS seats is 2,853. There are one government and seventeen private dental colleges. The total number of BDS seats is 1,055.
Last 14th the random numbers were released and on 17th the rank list was released. Aadithya Mahesh MV, Vignesh V and Gnanavel EJ shared the top rank with 200 marks.
