Vacancies with polytechnic colleges

There are over 46 government polytechnic colleges and special institutions in Tamil Nadu. Here, there are non-teaching staff working as junior assistants, assistants, typists, and superintendents, and lecturers, deans and professors working here.
The principals of all government polytechnic colleges and specialized institutions, and director of technical education of the state S. Madhumathi have ordered to submit a report on all the allowed vacant positions with the government polytechnic colleges.
There are over 190 vacant positions for department head in government polytechnic colleges. Likewise, there were 604 vacancies for lecturers in government polytechnic colleges. All of these vacancies were filled through tests. In spite of one year having got over, there is no announcement regarding recruitment for these positions.
