New Container Train flagged off between Chennai Port and Hyderabad

Container train service from Chennai Port to Hyderabad was flagged off by Mr Cyril C. George, Chairman of Chennai Port Trust in the presence of Mr S. Anantharaman, Chief Operations Manager, Southern Railway.
Also gracing the occasion were the Traffic Manager, Senior Deputy Traffic Manager, Deputy Conservator and other officers of Chennai Port Trust, DLI officials, Chief Executive Officer, CCTPL, officials of CITPL, as well as CHENSAA and CCHAA representatives.
This train will run as a weekly train to facilitate the movement of export containers and import container traffic between Chennai Port and Hyderabad.
This train service would cater the needs of industry and market of Hyderabad and adjoining Districts like Mahbubnagar, Rangareddy, Medak, Warangal, Nalgonda and also Guntur.
