ISRO researchers on cloud nine

ISRO researchers have successfully launched PSLV C 34 rocket from Sathish Dhavan space research centre, Sriharikota, Andhdra Pradesh. Carrying 20 satellites, the rocket got launched yesterday. This is the very first rocket to carry these many satellites in it.
On accomplishing this, the Chairman of ISRO, A.S. Kiran Kumar in his interview said that ISRO has been taking measures to cut down on the cost spent for launching rockets. They are involved in reducing the rocket weight, its shape and technologies used. Particularly, they target at reducing the satellite weight of those meant to monitor earth.
Currently, 12 rockets are being launched every year. This count is set to be hiked to 18. There is not enough space for rocket assembling and hence discussions are on to set up new spaces. At the same time, if required, one more Launchpad will also be constructed. Following the launch of PSLV C-34, PSLV C-35 will be launched and necessary works for the same are being done now. By the end of this year, ISRO has got plans to launch two satellites for research on earth, one for capturing 3-dimensional image of the earth, two on behalf of educational institutions, G-SAT 18, and GSLV Mark-2, GSLV Mark-3 rockets.
As a move to encourage college students in taking part in the field of aerospace, they are given necessary here. All the necessary facilities including space, funding, and suggestions are given by ISRO.
Having achieved success with testing the space shuttle, things are all set for the next testing to be done.
