Chennai Meteorological Centre: Heavy Rains likely in Chennai in the next 48 hours

Chennai is likely to experience very heavy rains in the next 48 hours.
There may be light rain during the afternoon in a few places. There may be heavy rains during the night.
A low depression has formed n the Bay of Bengal. Because of this, there was heavy rain in the coastal areas yesterday night (Sunday, 26th June).
With 2 hours’ persistent rain, several roads in Chennai Metro city were flooded.
The Chennai Meteorological Centre has announced that the rains will continue.
An official informed that the low depression formed in the Bay of Bengal near Andhra coast remains, and this will cause rain to continue or t net 48 hours in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
It may rain heavily in Chennai during the evening or night.
There may be light rain in a few places in the afternoon in the Chennai Metro City.
