Announcement from EPFO - A minimum monthly pension of Rs. 1000/-

EPFO (Employees Provident Fund Organisation) has officially announced the minimum payment of monthly pension of Rs. 1000/-.
An official from EPFO explained that approval was granted to continue with the payment of the minimum monthly pension of Rs. 1000/- for the retired employees, even after 31st March last year (2015).
The amendments were suitably made in the rules and regulations. Now, an official announcement has been released regarding this.
The payment of minimum pension of Rs. 1000/- was stopped suddenly.
Now, the central cabinet ministry has given the approval for continuing the same.
