Preparation for Government school students to write IIT entrance examinations

The scheme to train government school students for IIT entrance examination will be expanded to 120 schools this year.
Earlier it would be a surprise if students from government schools in Tamil Nadu write national level competitive examinations. Now it will be no longer be a surprise if students from government schools in Tamil Nadu top national level competitive examination. State school education department through the Rashtriya Madhyamik Shiksha Abhiyan (RMSA) state directorate has embarked on a mission to train first three rankers of class X and class XII from each government school in the state for these competitive tests.
The RMSA directorate has come up with a new project TAN Excel under the quality intervention programme to identify the first three classes X and XII school toppers in government schools to train and facilitate their participation in national level competitive tests.
