969 new vacancies with government medical colleges

Chief minister of Tamil Nadu J. Jayalalitha has ordered to create 969 new job vacancies with government medical colleges in Coimbatore and Pudhukottai. In a press release about the same, the government sources have stated that the Tamil Nadu government has been developing new medical colleges ever year. In the past five years, three new medical colleges are incepted in Sivagangai, Thiruvannamalai and Chennai Omandur government estate. There are 100 new students being appointed for studies ever year.
 
Furthermore, additional number of 410 government seats is included with government medical college after receiving approval by the Indian medical council. For this year, approval for taking 100 students in labor insurance hospital in Coimbatore and government medical college is received from the centre. These altogether mean that there are about 810 medical seats increased in the past five years.
 
In the newly launched government medical college in Pudhukottai, there are 161 new job vacancies with lecturers, assistant and associate lecturers, nurse, to name a few. Due to these additional vacancies, the government will be bound to spend an added sum of Rs 8,87,00,000.
