TRB to fill up 192 posts of assistant professors and 1120 pots of lecturers

1120 posts of lecturers and 192 posts of assistant professors are to be recruited for government engineering colleges. They will be directly recruited by the Teachers Recruitment Board.
Government engineering college’s assistant professors posts and government polytechnic college’s lecturers’ posts are being filled up by Teachers recruitment Board. There was no age limit to apply for the posts of lecturers and assistant professors but the Board fixed the age limit for assistant professors of engineering colleges and also released the recruitment notification for 139 vacancies during the month of July 2014.
Since there was a protest, the TRB reverted to its old stand fixing the age limit as 57 years. The notification for 139 posts has been cancelled. Within this span of time, the vacancies have increased. In between it was announced in the state assembly that 504 lecturers will be recruited for government polytechnic colleges.
At this juncture, the directorate of technical education has requested TRB to fill up 192 posts of assistant professors and 1120 pots of lecturers. The notification for these vacancies will be issued soon.
