Written test for the 8822 vacancies of Bank Officers posts to be filled

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the common written  tests for the posts of bank probationary officers.

8822 posts are to be filled up in 20 nationalized banks through this written test.

An estimation of 8822 posts has been announced.  The maximum of 2200 posts is in Canara Bank. IDBI has 1350 posts. Union Bank of India has 899 posts. Punjab National Bank has 750 posts. UCO Bank has 540 posts. The above figures may change.

Age limit: As on 1st July, 2016, the candidates must be in the  age group 20-30. (Candidates should not have been born before 2nd July, 1985 or after 1st July, 1996). Concessions will be given to candidates from reservation quota as per government rules and regulations.

Academic Qualifications:

Candidates who are graduates in any subject from the government-recognized universities can apply. This will be checked and verified based on 13th August 2016.

Selection Process

Mark sheets will be given to the candidates after  success in the preliminary written test, main written test and interview. This can be used for getting appointments when banks announce vacancies.

Fees:

Rs. 100/- for SC/ST and differently-abled candidates. Rs. 600/- for others. 

The fee must be paid through internet.

Application Procedure

The eligible and interested candidates may apply online through internet. 

As passport size photographs and signature are required, it is better to scan them and keep ready.After paying the fees, take a hard copy of the filled application and fee receipt.

Important dates

Starting date for receiving applications: 26th July, 2016

The last date for applying online: 26th July, 2016

Date of Preliminary written examination: 16th. 22nd, and 23rd October, 2016

Date of main examination: 20th Novembr, 2016

Dates of interview: January-February 2017
