Prospects of rain today (20th July) in Tamil Nadu

The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, Mr. Balachandran, informed that the southwest monsoon rain season has intensified in the states of Karnataka and Kerala. It has been raining in a few places in Tamil Nadu due to the thermal convection.
A low-level depression has formed over the region of west and central section of the Bay of Bengal. Due to this, it may rain in the next 24 hours in the interior districts of Tamil Nadu.
Chennai will remain cloudy. It may rain or rain with thunder in the evening or night in some parts of the city.
