Fortune 500 Magazine has announced the list of top 500 companies. This is inclusive of 7 Indian companies. In this list, ONG has not got a place this time. Also, there is a new entry made by Rajesh Exports; it has acquired 423rd place. Walmart tops the entire list. Indian Oil which is one of the major Indian Oil Company has got 161st place.
The list of Fortune 500 companies is inclusive of 4 public sector companies and 3 private companies. Among the private companies, the first in the list is Reliance. Following this, Tata Motors and Rajesh Exports are the two other private players included in the list. Following Indian Oil, there are LPG, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum in the list.
Indian oil has acquired 161st position with 5400 crore dollar value. However, it was in 119th position last year, to note. Reliance Industries which was in 158th position last year has now got down to 215th position. Bharat Petroleum which was in 280th place last year is now in 358th place. Likewise, Hindustan Petroleum has got shifted from 327th place to 367th place.
Tata motors and LPG have however shown progress in this list. Tata was in 254th place last year and the same is now in 226th place. Likewise, LPG is shifted from 260th position to 232rd place.
Walmart stands atop with 4,81,13,000 crore dollar and the second place is with State Grid Corporation of China with 3,29,60,100 crore dollars. China National Petroleum Corporation stands in the third place with 2,99,27,100 crore dollars.
The first ten positions are also inclusive of SINOPEG, Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, Volkswagen, Toyota Motor, Apple and British Petroleum. Fortune also hinted that there are 6.7 crore employees working in all these 500 companies.
