Chennai Rain Update - Atlast we can expect some rains in Chennai today and tomorrow

Reason for expecting rains in Chennai today and tomorrow. For last one week, its raining heavily in Tiruvannaamalai, Vellore, Krishnagiri and Dharmapuri districts. Sadly we can only watch them come near Chennai and fade or die near our city.
When storms form inland, the winds have to be good enough for the storms to reach them to Chennai coast. Today atlast after so many irritating days the winds have become strong. Please see the 850 hpa winds (winds above 1.5 kms from surface).
Good possibility of overhead storms to happen right over Chennai like what happened above Avadi yesterday.
With both sceanrio`s possible, lets hope the interpretation i have done is correct for Chennai. I feel the rains will be widespread covering most areas of Chennai if it is to happen today or tomorrow.
Dream Run in Vellore, Krishnagiri and other Interiors
Vellore district is getting rains on daily basis and pretty heavy too. I am sure this would have improved the ground water to awesome levels.
