Villupuram District hosts a website for differently abled peoples

Villupuram District is the first to host a website for differently abled people. The Tamil Nadu government in the interests of persons with disabilities is implementing various programs. The government has been setting home for mentally afflicted persons above 14 years and also imparting free computer training and cell phone repair training. It also provides sunglasses and collapsible crutches, scholarships and solar energy batteries for the differently abled people. Last June, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister inaugurated the mobile treatment unit for the differently abled people.
