Special 5 day science training is to be given to class 11 students from government and private schools.
The department of science and technology conducts an annual training for school students in the name Inspire Camp. For this year, the camp in Tamil Nadu is set to take place in three phases on 25th August, 29th August, 20th October, 24th October, 22nd December and 26th December.
This camp is set to take place at the University of Madras for free. Assistant professor, Suresh Gandhi announced that 150 students each from Thiruvallur, Chennai and Kanchipuram are invited to take part.
Selected students will be brought to the Guindy camp and made to stay in separate hostels. The university will also offer free food for these students throughout these 5 days of the camp. Equipment used for the training are also made available for them for free.
Eligibility for the training
Students will be selected based on district primary education office. Students should have scored 94.2 percent in class 10 public exam, A1 grade in CBSE, 95 percent score in ICSE. Students or the educational institute where they study need not spend anything for this training.
