Canada’s leading telecommunication Company Bell, jointly with Nokia of Finland, has successfully conducted tests on 5G Technology.

The 3 major Canadian telecommunication companies, Bell, Rogers, Teles have been fiercely competing with each other in their research and advancement of the internet technology for the next generation.

Especially, Bell has been progressing on its work jointly with Finland’s Nokia.

The test on 5G technology, which can operate with internet speeds 6 times more than the current average internet speed., was tested in Bell’s research laboratory in Mississauga recently.

Bell assures that with the advent of 5G technology, problems regarding connectivity will be greatly reduced. The company informed that the test was conducted on the spectrum (wavelength) 73 GHz was successful.

Bell informed that this test would confirm the internet speeds for the next generation. It will also pave the way for achieving the targets set by NGMN.

However, as several stages of testing are still to be conducted, it will take 5-7 years for this technology to be practical.
