Traffic diversions owing to Independence Day rehearsals

Owing to Independence day rehearsals, there will be traffic restrictions starting from Tuesday and will continue for three days.
From 6.30 am on Tuesday until the rehearsal gets over, the following restrictions in traffic will be imposed. The stretch along Kamarajar Salai starting from Napier Bridge until War Memorial, Rajaji Salai from War Memorial until RBI Subway North, the route along Walajah point up to war memorial will all remain shut for vehicles.
Vehicles from Kamarajar Salari and heading towards Parry`s Corner through Rajaji Salai will have to take Swami Sivananda Salai, Anna Salai, Muthusamy Bridge, Muthusamy Road, R.A. Mandram, and NFS Road. Those heading to Kamarajar Salai from Rajaji Salai through Rajaji Salai will have to take NFS road, R.A. Mandram, Muthusamy Road, Muthusamy bridge, Anna Salai and Wallajah road to arrive at Kamarajar Salai. Vehicles hailing form EVR Salai and Anna Salai towards Parry`s Corner through Flag staff road will need to take Muthusamy bridge, Muthusamy road, R.A. Mandram, and NFS road. Those coming from EVR Salai and Anna Salai towards Kamarajar salai need to take Flag staff road through Anna salai, Periyar statue, Anna statue, Wallajah road.
