LHB coaches from Aug 15 in Pandian Express

Southern Railways will introduce new LHB (Linke Hofmann Busch) coaches in the Chennai Egmore-Madurai Pandian Express (12638/12637) from August 15. The LHB coaches, designed on German technology, have inbuilt safety and comfort features that are comparable to world class standards. LHB coaches have more berths, are spacious, safe, and offer better riding comfort than conventional ICF rakes. They are also fire resistant.
The train will have one first class AC, three AC 2-tier, four AC 3-tier, 10 sleeper class, and two general second class coaches.
