Frontier Lifeline Hospital today celebrated the World Heart Day which falls on 29th September, 2011. Dr. Mayilvahanan Natarajan, Vice-Chancellor-Dr. MGR Medical University launched the Palliative Care Services at Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Sri. Ravindra Shannareddy, Managing Director, Sri City SEZ launched the Trauma, Accident & Emergency Care Ambulance for SRI CITY (SEZ).
Frontier Lifeline Hospital and Sri City have entered into an MOU for providing Emergency Services for Sri City and this relationship will be growing into managing a full-fledged hospital for Sri City in the near future.
As a part of World Heart Day Celebrations, students from various educational institutions took part in the organ donation awareness programme. Also, poster competition on the theme of World Heart Day-“One World One Home One Heart” was conducted and the winners of the competition were felicitated.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. K. M. Cherian, CEO & Chairman, Frontier Lifeline said, “We are proud to launch palliative services at our hospital as a part of World Heart Day Celebrations. Palliative service offers a support system to let patients live as actively as possible till death. With modern day healthcare advancements, this service can improve the quality of life of patients. With the number of patients waiting for an organ transplant is increasing every day; we would like to spread the awareness on organ donation.”
