Second phase single window counselling for MBBS and BDS from 21st September

Second phase of Counselling under single window for MBBS and BDS candidates will commence on September 21st.
 
According to the rules of Indian Medical Council, all the medical seats should be filled up by 30th September. Central Government order mentioned that the admission to the MBBS and BDS seats need not be based on NEET marks. At the end of the first phase of single window counselling for MBBS and BDS on Saturday, a total of 2,785 seats were filled in MBBS and 78 seats were filled in the government dental college.
 
The second phase of medical counselling to fill the remaining MBBS and BDS seats in both government and self financing colleges will begin after 21st September. As of now, there are 7 MBBS seats in government medical college and 122 MBBS seats in self financing medical colleges. Similarly there are 12 BDS seats available in Chennai Government Dental College and 970 BDS seats in self financing dental colleges are remaining to be filled.
 
397 MBBS seats and 15 BDS are available under All India Quota. These seats are to be filled by NEET. The unfilled seats will be retuned back to State Government. All the seats remaining vacant during the first phase counselling and All India quota unfilled seats will be filled up during the second phase of counselling
