Tamil Nadu buses stopped at Hosur along the border

As precautionary measure buses and trucks heading to Karnataka were stopped at Hosur along the border. The Supreme Court yesterday asked Karnataka to release 15,000 cusecs every day to Tamil Nadu for the next 10 days until the case is heard again on September 16.
Following reports of protest by farmers in Karnataka, particularly in Mandya and Maddur areas, a few kms from Mysore, against releasing of water to Tamil Nadu, vehicles bearing Tamil Nadu registration, including government buses plying to the neighbouring state was stopped at the border
