Women workers of Amma Unavagam will be eligible for EPF and ESI

Actions are being taken to provide EPF and ESI facilities to the women working in Chennai Corporation`s Amma Unavagam.
Yesterday the Chennai Corporation’s meeting was held. Mayor Saidai Duraisamy while speaking in the meeting said: In an audit report it has been mentioned about the working of the Amma Unavagams. It was mentioned that the women working in these Unavagams do not come under the purview of social security schemes like EPF and ESI. Now we will be extending the PF and ESI facility to the women working at Amma Unavagam.
